Habitat Project
There are three IAS sanctuaries located within the Prairie Ridge State Natural Area.  While the main objective is development of a grassland ecosystem, wetland communities have been constructed to provide habitat for wetland-dependent species.

This area has the state's largest breeding population of norther harriers and short-eared owls as well as the only population fo greater prairie chickens -- all of which are state endangered birds.
