This birding tour will include several birding spots in Lee and Ogle Counties. The trip will begin at Lowell Park (near Dixon). This location is home to breeding cerulean and yellow-throated warblers, yellow-throated vireo, Acadian flycatcher and other woodland birds.
The next stop will be The Nature Conservancy’s Nachusa Grasslands (Franklin Grove) with a species list at 246 and counting. Species here include blue grosbeak, Bell’s vireo, Henslow’s sparrow, bobolink, summer tanager with the possibility of other grassland and shorebird species.
