May 1 Rock Island Trail, Fox Pub & Industry Brewing (Peoria, Illinois)
Join us for an immersion in the art of bird watching and the craft of fine brewing. We are offering four trips this spring during the peak of spring migration. Though no experience is needed, experienced birders will be enthused. Your intrepid guide is both a beer nerd and bird nerd, Brian “Fox” Ellis. A rare bird indeed, he specializes in beer history and the contributions of John James Audubon to ornithology through a living-history portrayal.
We will meet at the Fox Pub on the north side of Peoria at 8:00 am for a hike along the Rock Island Trail where it meanders through mature forest remnants and crosses Kickapoo Creek. On our way back, we will pause at Industry Brewing for a tour before heading to Fox Pub for a traditional English breakfast and beer tasting.
Tour will last approximately 3-4 hours, followed by a beer themed breakfast and brewery tour/tasting.
