Spend 2-1/2 days with Denis Kania during the Biggest Week in American Birding. According to Denis “an average day at Magee Marsh is like a great day most other places.” Each day will begin at 7 a.m. and wrap up around 5 p.m. (noon on the last day). Registrants will carpool, walking will be at a slow pace on level surfaces. At this time of year, expect to see approximately 120 species and sometimes 25 warbler species each day. Denis will talk about migration in general and how it is that this place (Magee Marsh area) is such an important stepping stone in migration.
Trip cost includes guide, 3 nights hotel accommodations (Holiday Inn Express, Port Clinton), lunch on Monday and Tuesday, snacks and water. Although the group will meet for dinner on Monday and Tuesday night, attendees will be responsible for their own meals. Breakfast is provided by the hotel. A checklist of observed species will be provided each day.
