USGS Master Bird Banding Permit and lead bird bander at the Illinois Raptor Center Bird Banding Station.

I am a physiological ecologist who studies how animal immune defenses protect them from disease in wild populations and how immune defenses develop and have evolved. I study birds, amphibians, fish, and reptiles to answer these questions.
