Secret lives of Sandhill Cranes

Subject(s)

Description

I provide a talk that summarizes over 30 years of research on Sandhill Cranes conducted at the International Crane Foundation in central Wisconsin. We banded cranes on specific territories to investigate mate fidelity, natal dispesal, and habitat selection. I describe how the data were collected including banding, telemetry, and tracking. I provide some of the lessons learned while conducting this research.
